1 - GIVETOU’S PRIVACY POLICY AND ACTIVELY OPTING IN

GiveToU (hereinafter referred to as “givetou”, “we”, “us” or “our”) acknowledges the importance of protecting every user's (hereinafter referred to as "user", "you", "your" or "yours") personal information.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclosure information about you in connection with your use of our services, including those offered through our website or emails (collectively, the "Service"). GiveToU (hereinafter referred to as " givetou", "we", "us" or "our") acknowledges the importance of protecting every user’s GiveToU collects very limited non-anonymous information from our visitors of our website as well as some specific personal information from registered users. That data collected, as described in our register page, includes the following personal data (the majority not mandatory and for the purpose of contractual relationship management) that each users provides when you register or update the details of your user account: Role; Email; Name; Address; City; Country; Postcode; Website; Contact Name; Phone; Country code; Mobile Number; (Preferred) Language; Description of what you do; Causes that you support; Skills/ Jobs that you want to offer; Areas of interests; (Preferred) Currency; Fiscal Number (in case there is a need to issue a tax receipt); IBAN and BIC/SWIFT (in case there is a need to transfer money to your account – only required if you are a NGO).

We collect, store and process information when you access or use GiveToU to manage campaigns/ gifts/ communities, search friends/ groups or make comments on our social network, track any favorite, follow friends/ groups/ companies or share with other users over the wide internet and more info that is clearly persistent and public about you on GiveToU’s website.

This information will be stored and processed by computer and may be used for communication purposes or to process orders. When you visit GiveToU we may use a third party tracking partner to gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. Data collected includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp and clickstream data. We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

GiveTOU reserves the right to send you emails about your account, general news/events of our company, the state of the application/your account/your plan, change of terms of service or any other email that directly affects the state of your account and our platform. Other email preferences about receiving news/newsletter can be changed in your profile settings.

GiveToU acts as the controller under the GDPR article 13 and you can reach us anytime about why we collect your personal data. Some of the uses are:

We will share information with our payment services provider only to the extent necessary for the purposes of processing payments you make via our website, refunding such payments and dealing with complaints and queries relating to such payments and refunds.

We do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our well-functioning or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

5 - WHERE DO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH OTHERS?

We do not share your personal data in bulk with any third party or anyone else not part of GiveToU as defined by article 19 of GDPR. We also do not sell your data to anyone. You own your data and it is up to you to make it available/ public on GiveToU or not. The data you have made public and available on GiveToU is what we use to share on social media sites and marketing campaigns with the sole purpose of promoting you and helping you reach and expand to more audiences.

The data you create (e.g., posts in the GiveToU social network) is yours and can be fully managed by you at full control.

6 - TERMINATING / DELETING ACCOUNT

In case you decide to terminate your relationship with GiveToU you acknowledge and agree that we keep only the required information for legal/ tax purposes (if applicable). All other data you acknowledge and accept that it may be deleted (e.g., comments/ posts, favorites and more) as defined by article 15 and 17 of GDPR.

We take our users' data and privacy very seriously and will not allow or tolerate the collection of our users' data from anyone or any software and we aim to implement all possible protection mechanisms to safeguard our users data. It is absolutely against our policy, desire and will to allow anyone without our consent to collect data remotely and in bulk.

GiveToU cannot be held responsible for any information regarding the content or accuracy of the publications of its users. The contents published in the campaigns, gifts, social network, communities and all other user generated content are the sole responsibility of those of the respective user (s) and not GiveToU. Still, we have implemented some control mechanisms to aim to maximize que quality of all the information and data in GiveToU.

GiveToU is also not reliable for copyright infringements of its user’s posts nor responsible for the content found on other web sites, which are linked to from this website. Personal information that you publish on our website or submit for publication on our website may be available, via the internet, around the world. We cannot prevent the use or misuse of such information by others.

Any and all legal / tax liability associated with campaigns and gifts is the sole responsibility of the promoter and / or beneficiary responsible for its creation, including but not limited, to invoices, legal/ tax documentation.
