…Register
a new account
1.Click on “
Register” on the top right corner of the GiveToU website’s home
Page.
2.You may choose to use the
information on your
Facebook,
Google or
Twitter account to automatically fill-in part of the required
fields in the registration form.
3.In “Account Data” you will need
to choose your type of user:
a.Giver – a private user that may
interact with NGOs and Companies (create fundraising campaigns, donate funds,
services, goods or purchase goods) and also be part of a NGO, Company or Group
registered at GiveToU;
b.Company – a corporate user that
is looking for NGOs and non-profits to support through financial and
non-financial donations;
c.NGO – a Non-Governmental Organization
or a Non-Profit Organization that is looking for operational management tools,
a social network, financing mechanisms and a platform to promote its activity.
4.Provide an email, choose a
password for your GiveToU account and retype it to confirm your choice.
5.Fill-in the Personal, Profile
and Financial Data fields in the form as truthfully as possible, those marked
with a red star are required for a complete user registration that will allow
you full access to the platform’s features.
6.Some fields allow you to choose
more than one answer, you just need to open the drop-box and select an option
for each that you want to add. To erase any of the answers you already selected
just click on the cross beside the icon you wish to delete.
7.You may be required to provide
your latest company/NGO financial report and, in case of NGOs, your Statutes.
PDF formats are preferred for uploading this information.
8.You may also choose which
information you want to keep private and which to show other GiveToU users.
9.Finally, you should read and
accept GiveToU’s Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and Cookie Policy, as well as the
GiveToU Newsletter opt-in field (which is not mandatory for registration).
10.Upon clicking the “Register”
button your information will be sent to GiveToU for approval, after which you
should receive an email welcoming you to the G2U platform.

…Create
and manage a Campaign1.Open the CAMPAIGNS page on the
user main menu (upper horizontal menu bar) and click on NEW CAMPAIGN.
2.Provide a Title and an Abstract
for your campaign where you should summarily explain the goal or project you
are collecting donations for.
3.Specify the beneficiary
institution that will be receiving the donations collected through the new campaign
and that will be responsible for executing the project referred in the
abstract.
Please note that by
default, if you are an NGO user, you will be the beneficiary for the campaign
unless stated otherwise in the NEW CAMPAIGN form. If you are not an NGO user,
you may create campaigns on behalf of registered NGOs but their creation and
management will be subject to the beneficiary’s approval. Only NGO users may
benefit from campaigns.
4.Explain as clearly as possible
the complete purpose of the campaign in the Description field (at least 250
characters long).
5.Fill-in the remining fields:
a.Address and Postal Code;
b.Currency and Goal Amount (how
much you need in order to implement the project);
c.An end date (in case you need
one);
d.Interests and Causes related to
your campaign – please note that these will be used in search filters used by
potential contributors to your campaign;
e.Campaign Type: Public (by
default), available to a set of your Friends or to a set of Groups you belong
to. You should specify the Friends or Groups you want to send make the Campaign
available to;
f.YouTube URL to make available a
video allusive to your Campaign
6.Upload an image to be the
“face” of your campaign on GiveToU.
7.Finally, you can share
something about your campaign with other users which will be posted on the
SOCIAL GiveToU page.
8.At this point you may submit
your campaign which will be approved by GiveToU and, in case you are not the
beneficiary, by the NGO that will benefit from resources gathered by the campaign
you created.
9.To Follow-up on your campaign
status, edit Campaign details and share it on other social networks, just go to
the user drop-down menu on the top-right corner of the website and click on
CAMPAIGNS > MY CAMPAIGNS. Here you can also close your Campaign meaning no
more contributions will be accepted after this point – i.e., successful
Campaign – or terminate it – which means aborting the project and refunding the
collected resources. Once again, in case you are not the beneficiary of the campaign,
any changes made to previously created campaigns will need to be approved by
the NGO it is destined to.
10.After your campaign has been
closed, you can check the contributors’ list and send thankyou messages or
follow on the campaign rewards you set initially.

and manage a Gift1.Open the GIFTS page on the user
main menu (upper horizontal menu bar) and click on NEW GIFT.
2.Provide a Title for your Gift.
3.Select the Type of gift by
choosing if it is a gift you need (are asking for) or something you are giving.
4.Define the type of resource
that your gift relates to: Time/Skills, Goods or Money.
5.Although not mandatory, you can
specify the companies for whom you intend this gift to be available.
6.Fill-in the Address Field;
7.Explain as clearly as possible the
Gift in the Description field (at least 250 characters long).
8.You can share something about
your campaign with other users.
9.You can input a YouTube URL to
make available a video allusive to your Gift
10.Upload an image to be the
“face” of your Gift on GiveToU.
11.If your gift is MONEY, you
should:
a.Define the Gift currency;
b.Input how much money it is
worth;
c.Input how many Gifts will be
available;
d.Define if you have any
restrictions to your money gift, i.e. if it should be used for a specific
purpose such as school material, vaccines, etc.
e.In case you are giving, define
if you require proof of purchase
12.If your gift is TIME/SKILLS,
you should:
a.Define if the Gift is expected
to be Free of charge or Paid;
b.If paid, define currency and
amount/value;
c.Schedule the date/time for your
gift;
d.Fill-in the contact form,
including when to contact and the specific skills that are being gifted or
requested.
13.If your gift is GOODS, you
should:
a.Define if the Gift is expected
to be Free of charge or Paid;
b.If paid, define currency and
amount/value;
c.Define the status of the gift:
new, used or damaged;
d.Define if transport/shipping is
included;
e.Define the number of available
unit and the maximum number of units acquirable per user;
f.Define a pick-up address;
g.Fill-in the contact form, where
you can define an expiration date and input restrictions/observations for the
gift.
14.Once every required field is
complete, submit the gift.
15.To Follow-up on your Gift status and edit Gift details, just go to
the user drop-down menu on the top-right corner of the website and click on GIFTS
> MY GIFTS. Here you can also terminate your Gift meaning no more units will
be gifted after this point. You can also check the list of buyers to thank them
or send a reward in case you feel like it.
…Create
and manage a Group1.Open the SOCIAL page on the
user main menu (upper horizontal menu bar).
2.Click on the “Create Group”
located on the left menu of the Social page.
3.Name your Group, provide a
location and a description for your Group. You can also Define Causes that it
supports and as well as Goup visibility – whether it is Public or for Friends
only.
4.You can add Friends to the
Group immediately in the Group creation form.
5.By clicking on the Group icon
on the top right corner of the form you can upload a picture to serve as its
icon.
6.To manage your Group, you can
go to your user menu on the top-right corner of the GiveToU platform and select
MY NETWORK. In here you can view the Groups you are part of and the Groups
you’ve created.
7.In MY CREATED GROUPS you can
view your Group’s status, and either edit or delete it.
8.By editing your Group you’ll
have access to the same form as you had when creating it and with that you can,
among other things, remove Group members.

my Profile1.Open the PROFILE page on your
user menu on the top-right corner of the GiveToU platform and click on the EDIT
button.
2.Here you can edit any part of
you profile, similarly to what you do upon user registration.

accessed on the main menu (Top blue banner) by clicking on SOCIAL.
The SOCIAL page will display
all Friend, Group and Followed social activity.
On your SOCIAL page you can
post texts, photos or videos, including links to other websites.

RegistrationI just registered on the
GiveToU website but I’m not able to sign into my account at GiveToU.
Your registration has been
submitted but might not yet have been approved. Please wait for an email welcoming
you to GiveToU and confirming your registration.
What file formats may I use to
upload the documents regarding the Financial Statement and Statutes during the
registration process?
Your files should have a
maximum size of 10 MB and have one of the following formats: PDF, DOC, DOCX,
ODT.
What file format must my
profile photo have?
Your photo should be uploaded
using a JPG, JPEG or PNG format and maximum file size is 10 MB.
What should I write in the
“describe what you do” field within Personal Data?
Here you may provide a
description of what your entity (company or NGO that you are registering) or
yourself do, not only concerning your core business but also information
related to its/your activity surrounding the Social Sector. Your answer must
range between 250 and 1000 characters long.
In order to register on GiveToU
I must provide sensitive information. How can I manage who can view each
information item from that registry?
Some profile information
collected in the registration form will be public, available to other GiveToU
users or private, in which case only GiveToU Administration will have access to
in order to validate user registration. You can select the visibility/privacy
of your information along the registration process and also in your profile
through the Edit Profile button on your user menu (upper right corner of the
website after you login).
Please note that some fields’ privacy is locked,
meaning GiveToU has defined for them a mandatory Public or Private status.
CampaignsHow can I thank contributors
for their help with my campaign?
You will have access to a list
of all campaign backers which will allow you to message them and thank them in
a way you deem appropriate.
How can I promote my campaign?
You can share your campaign on
GiveToU through the SOCIAL page or on other social networks using the icons on
campaign details.
I’ve reached Campaign deadline
but only part of the funds I require have been collected. What happens now?
You can either CLOSE or
TERMINATE a campaign at any time.
By the end of its deadline it will be closed in which
case you receive all resources collected during the OPEN period. Please note
that if this happens you will still be liable for the usage of the funds
received thus being expected proof of investment as described in your campaign
details.
If you TERMINATE the campaign, all funds raised will go back to
donors’ e-wallets.
Gifts
How can I thank users that
bought my gifts?
You will have access to a list
of all gift buyers which will allow you to message them and thank them in a way
you deem appropriate.
How can I promote my gifts?
You can share your Gifts on
GiveToU through the SOCIAL page or on other social networks using the icons on
GIFT details.
I’m creating a TIME/SKILL gift,
but I cannot find my skill in the list provided. What should I do?
Please contact us using the
messaging button on the website’s bottom-right corner with a request to set
your skill and we will incorporate it as soon as possible in the GiveToU
platform.
